Captain Option 1-The Banker- Bukayo Saka

I may have had a slight dig earlier over The Gunner’s recent form, however, this does not make him any less viable of a choice this week, with the amount of money that is surely in your transfer kitty currently if you’ve played your cards right, his price shouldn’t dissuade you, Already have him? Even better. While Bukayo has had particularly poor returns recently, his recent numbers suggest a return to form is inevitable.

The Arsenal youngster boasts an impressive amount of xGA per game, with a record of expected assists that would be a lot higher if not for Arsenal’s recent form in front of goal that they will be looking to turn around, however. Crystal Palace will allow Arsenal possession for the majority of the game which leaves Arsenal in a good position to shake off their recent critical issue in front of goal.

Capture

Bukayo too expensive an asset for you? Here’s an option for a budget captain.

The Eurosaver – Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer, Cole Palmer, every week you don’t have trust in yourself to take a risk and captain him, and every week he boats an impressive return. Here’s your late warning now, trust your instincts and take a chance on the Chelsea boy, here’s why;

Fulham ranks near the top of the league and at the top of the league in two areas respectively, Penalties Conceded and Goals conceded, with the London side being weak in every area aside from successful long balls and being clinical in front of goal. If Chelsea can deal with these two factors, they’ll have a field day of their own:

Chelsea, as we all know simultaneously ranks top when it comes to chances created while also ranking near the top when it comes to chances missed, this naturally comes due to the abhorrent finishing of Chelsea’s front line, however, this season Cole Palmer has been the outlier, and coming up against a team with one of the worst ranked defences in the league, Cole Palmer should be your number 1 choice when it comes to captain.

The Successor- Diogo Jota

Do you all know that you actually all have something in common with Jurgen Klopp? You are both struggling to cope with having to replace Mohammed Salah, don’t worry Jurgen, I’m your guy, here’s your replacement right here:

There is no doubting the fact that Bournemouth will take the game to Liverpool, with the Cherries being fired up the table by their talisman Dominic Solanke, Liverpool will also have to deal with the loss of their primary creator, Trent Alexander Arnold. even with Bournemouth’s terrible defensive record (pictured below.) Liverpool will still struggle to break them down, and with chances so far and few between, can you really trust Darwin Nunez to lead you to glory, of course not. Liverpool needs a centre forward with a clinical edge to be the difference-maker this week and in my opinion. Diogo Jota is the man.

Conclusion.

There’s no real answer for the question of who to captain any week in Fantasy, we can try to predict how games will go down using statistics and analysis, however, it’ll never go down the way we want it to, all you can do is make an educated guess and hope it works out. That being said, here are some alternative options that we haven’t named in this post. Ollie Watkins (£8.7) Bruno Fernandes (£8.5) Julian Alvarez (£6.9)
